What a Wonderful World!

By Louis Armstrong
I see trees of green

Red roses too

I see them bloom for me and you

And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue

And clouds of white

The bright blessed day

The dark sacred night

And I think to myself what a wonderful world

The colours of the rainbow
So pretty in the sky

Are also on the faces of people going by

I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do

They're really saying I love you

I hear babies crying

I watch them grow

They'll learn more than I'll ever know

And I think to myself what a wonderful world

Yes I think to myself
What a wonderful world.

Happy New Year everyone!

My First Christmas with "Red"

We started with strawberry daiquiri's

We made these little trees in silver, white and red.
(Last minute filling with sand Christmas eve)

Still lots of white and silver
Snowflake Xmas cupcakes
(Recipe from Women's Weekly Cupcakes)
Stayed with the simple white and silver decorations

These ones were new for this Christmas. Every year I like to add new ones but they must be special and unique. How was your Christmas? Ours was just fabulous! At the end of the day my heart was so happy from all of the love and laughs we shared as we connected with our family. I am so proud of all of my nieces and nephews and it's such a privilege to have them all come together as one. Merry Christmas everyone!

Xmas at Verandah and Claremont Quarter

A favourite shop of mine is always Verandah of Claremont with its elegant mix of French and Hamptons

A small touch of red to the table..... I'm tempted

A new shop at the Claremont Quarter. ( Note the i-pads instead of magazines while you wait. You might want actually want to wait!)

Mall displays using the jewelled colours. Oh how I love...... the Claremont Quarter. If you come to Perth just head straight to Claremont and you won't be disappointed. (ps I dont have any financial links other than spending a lot there and enjoying the beautiful ambience)

White Xmas Food

What better to create a lovely white Xmas theme than white food like these sweet little puddings that are drizzled in white chocolate.
Or sprinkled in Xmas colours over white cream and chocolate
Can't resist meringue confections
Snowflake cookies- perhaps I could use cookie cutters for the icing and simply lay over the top.
Gotta love these lollipops. I think they are from an Australian on-line shop. Maybe Sharnel's? Must go and find out!

Dreaming of a White Xmas

Such a beautiful, white angel to enjoy at Xmas
Together with white at Xmas, with just little touches of colour, is so elegant and pure
A White Xmas sparkles and invites

Whilst feathers and fur add an element of gentleness

Simple Advent calendar in just silver, white and natural colours gives more opportunities to create and have fun with the meaning of Xmas

White lights, white cakes and white presents all add to the purity of a white Xmas.
