Bridal Shower for Vanessa

Tiffany Blue
with white and silver
cream and gold
That's what I wanted to do
for the theme
for the bridal shower
of my beautiful friend
Vanessa

To me
Vanessa is one of the most beautiful people
in the world
And I really wanted to honour her

Handmade card
from another adorable friend

Some gorgeous gifts

I loved this beautiful green

My blue and white with gold china

And a lovely afternoon tea

Beautiful people
On a beautiful afternoon
To honour a truly special person
Who deserves much happiness
Which she spreads where-ever she goes
We love you Vanessa!

A Teapot Cake For Alice in Wonderland

We did it!
We finally had our Alice in Wonderland Party
and it was GREAT!
Our main centre-piece was this yummy chocolate cake
from a new cake franchise "Utopia"

Solid chocolate for the lid, spout and handle.

Quite tricky to cut up for 33 people.

Some students prepared beautiful flowers to decorate.

The students planned the party
which included appropriate food.
These kebabs with marshmallows were a hit.
Fairy cakes, cupcakes and fairy bread
were top of the list
They even brought their own balloons
(colour in keeping of course)

And cut flowers from the school garden.

There were playing cards scattered over the table

And of course we had a lovely tablecloth
(they insisted)
And even chose bright plates for serving

Even these biscuits
were displayed with flair
and flowers
The students proclaimed it to be the best class party they had ever been to.
Must admit- I agree

Christmas from Notebook

Notebook magazine December 09
is packed full of gorgeous Xmas ideas
that are French inspired
I love this one with the rustic branches
This is what I want for the table centre
but with red decorations
There are lots of ideas using recycled ideas
And I love these concertina decorations
that look like they are tea stained

There are instructions for these sweet snowflakes
using quilled paper

I thought this Xmas card bunting
from old cards looked fabulous
especially with red in them
for the French touch

I love this paper and tuille garland using
unbleached coffee filters,tuille,organza
and sheet music

I couldnt go past this wreath
with more tuille
I lovee anything tuille!

Hows this for such a clever idea
for storing delicate Xmas decorations

Even their food ideas have a lovely French touch.
I will have a similar cloth in my new online boutique
I hope to launch next week.
Im going to start with a giveaway
and perhaps someone could win this cloth

But I'll definitely be doing these mixed bruchetta!
(Recipes are in the magazine)

I really fancy these Rum Balls
with raisons in them

And I adore these ginger bread snowflakes!
I know the kids in my class are going to be so excited to make many of these ideas
especially because they are just a little bit different!
Hope you enjoy them too!
Perhaps back issues are available.
All images are from my copy of the magazine.Contact them at www.notebookmagazine.com

Cocoon of Luxury

If you love the look of luxury
there is only one place to go

I totally adore this store and their amazing style

Their name is Cocoon
and they are in our beautiful Subiaco
in WA

They have the most exquisite cushions
and quilts I have ever seen!

The fabrics are all so beautiful
and you must pay for the delights

I find it to be a true sensory delight

And Im never disappionted.

Another store who have also created luxury,
in a french way, is Domayne in Sydney
And Ive collected these pics from several years ago.
I will never part with them.

Simply stunning for every room of the house

And finally, in another colour,
but still a beautiful cocoon of luxury

I love this gorgeous and fun use of pink and roses

From Period Homes last year

Don't you just love cocoons of luxury
Even if it is just to dream about?

(images either my own or from Instyle Magazine
and Period Homes and one other for Domayne shots)
