Sweet Blue

I'm just so happy that blue is featuring more and more and more. This one featured on Brabourne Farm this week and I just love every bit of it.
So then I had a bit of fun with picmonkey to make this collage.
Gotta love this oh so lovely table setting overflowing with blue cloths, flower pots and dinnerware. The use of varied pots of blue and white being the perfect way to centre our attention.

Perfectly pretty especially when peeking out.

And finally what better way to enjoy a sunny day. Gorgeous check cloths match beautifully with blue dinnerware and glasses with the crowning glory of blue hydrangeas mixed with lime green. Can you imagine lingering over lunch in this lovely setting?
Have a perfectly lovely weekend.

Fun, Fairy Floss and Katy Perry

Fun, fabulous, Fairy Tales and fluffy clouds of fairy floss

That's what Katy Perry is made of!
Her use of whimsy lets a child's imagination come alive
 Pinkalicious and pretty

 Flowers and fireworks

Her movie is such fun and perfect if you enjoy a visit to Wonderland.
What girl can resist a little magic and imagination?
Best, best wishes to you Katy Perry.

The Warmth of a Fireplace

With our colder days now firmly here I once again turn to look at fireplaces for the warmth and coziness they bring.
But when you start to look you realize there are so many questions and choices.
What better way to get answers than to search my collected images.

And then I see a very clear pattern emerges.

I definitely prefer the elegance of white

And the look of flames in a more open setting with not too much else to detract from the beauty of the fireplace mantle.
Well at least that's clearer now for me. What about you? Which do you prefer?

Curtains or Blinds or Both

Bonjour mon amis
We have such huge open windows with tranquil views of the garden and pool but in Winter
the nights are oh so cold without a covering. So my dilema is....what do I cover them in?
 White blinds....
Natural blinds.....at least you can see thru a little.
 Silk curtains.....
( If I could afford it I would have loved duck egg blue curtains in silk from Laura Ashley)

But maybe something like this with white romans and taupe or striped curtains.
( Don't you just love Belle Blanc? Her photos are always so beautiful)
I really like these wrought iron rods with the little loops that clip on the curtains

Or should I go for concealed blinds like these from Norma House in N.S.W.
Or the natural blinds with white curtains.
I'm really not sure. What do you think?
