French Inspired Xmas

Every year there is always something new
with fresh ideas or tweaked ideas
and I just loved this wreath
I saw at an Open Garden recently.Don't you love the sweet little owl,
gorgeous paper flowers
and gold berries

It was made by a florist in Swanbourne.
I shall have to track her down

Goes beautifully with this rustic french setting.
I'd love these rattan place mats.
I'll have to source some
for my new online boutique

I adore the use of string and lace
on these decorations with the pine cones

They look like vintage style baubles

I'll still have to have my blues somewhere
Maybe on a second tree upstairs

I so wish I had my fireplace
If I did I'd definitely be using this idea

These cloches are definitely going to be on my sideboard
filled with baubles
and the wrapped soaps in the urn
Love it!

I could even try this with my shell collection
but add some vintage inspired baubles as well.
Maybe put them on a table or coffee table
These candles look so pure and fresh
especially with the green wreath and pearls
and more silver baubles

I really want to try these!
I totally love anything with text, music and numbers
especially when put with string and lace

And when I saw this at" Wheelbarrow"
I knew how I wanted to do my table this year

I just have to use these striped mats
and the gorgeous star serviette rings

And Im even going to use red for the table centre
only I'm going to use red baubles on rustic branches
in a vase or pot
maybe even filled with sand
or better still
wrapped in burlap

I'll post more on that idea another day.

  5. Fiona, the juxtaposition of mixing rattan with white dishes and adding sparkle brought a soft elegance to the holiday table vignette. Beautiful.
