Happy Mothers Day!
For this wonderful day I thought it fitting
to show some wonderful roses.
Autumn often brings the most beautiful flushes of roses
and I love to float them in this lovely fishbowl shaped vase.
There is a mix of soft pink iceburgs
And two new ones
My Hero by Swane
and Sharifa Asma of David Austin
both pink and excellent repeaters
I bunched them up quite close with longer stems
a few days before for my Mum's Birthday tea
Oh the buds looked divine!
How about you? What is your favourite way to display flowers?
Ps I dont know how to stop blogger separating my lines of text with so much space. I really dont like it so if anyone knows what to do to stop it, Id love to know.
Fiona this looks absolutely divine! You have arranged them so beautifully and I have Sharifa Asma as well. I am about to make cupcakes for my mum and put fresh flowers from the garden on and around them. I received a beautiful arrangement from Andrew and the children and it is gorgeous. Have a beautiful day!

Beautiful roses and so fitting for Mother's Day! I had trouble all day with spacing in blogger and never could get it figured out.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
What a lovely post this is -- well done! So pretty... I love to display flowers in teacups or small flowers in large, tall vases -- all kinds of ways :)
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a wonderful Sunday,
xoxo
p.s as for the spacing, if you go into your .html section, you should see the post section and try to adjust the line height from there. This is mine:
.post {
padding-bottom: 0em;
padding-right: 0em;
padding-top: 1.50em;
margin:1.0em 0 1.0em;
line-height: 1.80em;
color: #111111;
font-family: Helvetica;
border-bottom:1.75px dotted #dddddd;
font-style: regular;
font-size: 100.98%;
}
The flowers are lovely! It's a great idea to put them in water like these. Enjoy the wonderful week ahead, Kellie xx
ReplyDeleteThe roses are gorgeous! I love using fishbowls too and I also like to use my blue and white vase x
ReplyDeleteI love your idea for displaying your lovely roses! I'm sorry I can't help with your spacing problem. Blogger also gets the better of me sometimes! It can be so frustrating! x Sharon
